Vanamahotsav celebrated at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir Elamakkara
To sensitize the students about the importance of protecting environment and planting new trees, Bhavan's Vidya Mandir Elamakkara celebrated Vanamahotsav, the festival of forests on July 1. This noble initiative which was started by Kulapati K M Munshi aims at instilling the value of social responsibility towards safeguarding trees and forests. The chief guest of the day Sri Tiju C Thomas, Associate Coordinator, WWF, India and Environmental Conservationist addressed the students.He spoke about the importance of protecting the greenery on this earth and also about the need to reduce the use of plastic. The message of Vanmahotsav was presented on the stage through a song and dance performance by the students in the morningassembly.
