BHAVAN'S VIDYA MANDIR ELAMAKKARA OBSERVED READING DAY
Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara observed ‘Reading Day’ on 19 June in memory of the late Shri P N Panikkar, the father of the library movement of Kerala. To promote and instil a passion for reading amongst the student community, various activities were conducted for students from classes I -XII. Ms. Ravitha, Writer and News Reader inaugurated the reading day celebrations. A few members of Akshara Public Library Perandoor, Kochi took part in the celebrations. Students of classes I to V dressed up as characters from famous stories entertained the students in the morning assembly. In the DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) programme, students of classes I to XII read stories during the sixth period.
