Our School Band provides students with a valuable platform to nurture their musical talents while developing discipline, teamwork, confidence, coordination, and leadership skills. As an integral part of the school's co-curricular programme, the band adds pride, rhythm, and vibrancy to important school celebrations, ceremonies, and special events.
School Band – 2026
The academic year 2026 marked the beginning of a new batch of school band members, comprising 14 enthusiastic students - 4 girls and 10 boys from Classes VI to X.
The students participate in regular training sessions under the guidance of Mr. Renju, External Band Instructor. Training is conducted two to three days a week, focusing on instrumental skills, musical coordination, discipline, and effective group performance.
The band is led by Master. Pratheek of Class X, who serves as the Band Leader, guiding and coordinating the team during practice sessions and performances.
Instruments and Training
The school band is equipped with a range of musical instruments that contribute to its distinctive sound and coordinated performances.
Trumpets: Brass instruments that add bright, powerful, and melodic tones to band performances.
Euphoniums: Brass instruments that produce rich, warm, and resonant tones.
Snare Drums: Percussion instruments that provide rhythmic patterns and marching beats.
Bass Drum: A percussion instrument that creates deep, powerful beats and strengthens the rhythmic foundation of the band.
Baton: Used by the Band Leader to conduct and coordinate the band's performances.
Through regular practice and participation in school events, the band members continue to strengthen their musical abilities, teamwork, discipline, and sense of responsibility.
