Teachers’ Day Celebrations 2021
Teachers’ Day Celebrations 2021
"Gu" means dark and "Ru" means light. Thus, "Guru" can be translated as darkness to light, or possibly one who leads from darkness to light. The Guru is a teacher who guides the Shishya's life from darkness or ignorance to bliss, wisdom, and enlightenment. The Guru-Shishya Parampara has been an inevitable part of education in ancient Indian culture, signifying the emotional, intellectual, and spiritual bonding between the guru and the shishya. The guru is a friend, philosopher and guide moulded into one individual and the shishya eventually masters the knowledge that the guru embodies.
Teachers' Day is celebrated every year on the 5th of September, which also marks the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a distinguished envoy, academician, and the first Vice- President, and second President of independent India and above all a great teacher.
Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara celebrated Teacher’s Day in the virtual mode on 6th September 2021 with great passion and zeal. The Principal Smt. Sunitha S. and Vice Principal Smt. Sreejyothi N greeted the teachers on the occasion and deeply appreciated their commitment to teaching and thanked them for their invaluable contribution to the institution and wished for greater personal and professional growths in the years to come. Ms. Lakshmy K J, Teacher, Dept. of English expressed her gratitude to the children for inspiring the teachers to go the extra mile. Various programs were organized as part of the Virtual Teachers’ Day Celebrations. The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude for their beloved teachers with cards and greetings.
