Hindi Diwas serves as a patriotic reminder of our common roots and unity

Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September to commemorate the adoption of Hindi as one of the official languages of the India. Hindi is one of the most widely spoken languages of India, with most of North India celebrating the language as their mother tongue. The Constituent Assembly of India accepted Hindi, written in Devanagari script, as the official language of India on September 14, 1949. Officially, the first Hindi Day was celebrated on September 14, 1953. Every year we celebrate Hindi Diwas to promote the Hindi language and it serves as a patriotic reminder to each Indian of their common roots and unity.

Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara celebrated Hindi Diwas virtually with great pride and vigour on 14th September 2021. Various programs were organised to mark the occasion. The students were made aware of the significance and richness of Hindi language and were urged to make an endeavour to learn and enhance their Hindi. The students participated enthusiastically in all the online programs.
