WORLD CANCER DAY

On 4th February, Cancer Day was observed on the virtual platform by the students and staff of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara to raise awareness on this deadly disease. A short video was shown to the students during the morning assembly which aims to inform them of its  need for early diagnosis, prevention and treatment.  Now it has turned out to be a positive movement by stretching its consoling hands to those who are suffering from cancer . Keerti Manjith anchored the programme and an inspiring cancer surviving story  of Ms. Rani T Jacob, Teacher, Department of English,  Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor was shared with the students. She narrated the hardest phase of her life’s journey when she was detected with cancer and the way she fought and stood up with a smile with the support of her family and colleagues. According to her, everything happens in one’s life for a reason whether it be good or bad. She reminded us that there will be many incidents in our life that may break us emotionally or deform us physically. But when we transform ourselves to face the adversities with courage without accepting the sting of defeat, success would be ours.
