SANSKRIT DAY CELEBRATIONS
To promote the resurgence and preservation of Sanskrit, 'the mother of all languages' in India, Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara celebrated World Sanskrit Day on 12 August 2022. Being one of the first spoken languages in the world, Sanskrit is of great importance in the ancient history of India. To mark the occasion, a special morning assembly was held. The prayer, pledge and news reading were rendered in Sanskrit. The melodious songs presented by the students of the Primary Section and the dance performance by the students of the Secondary Section reiterated the importance of the language. The day acknowledges the place Sanskrit holds in Indian history and culture.
