BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION
World Environment Day celebrated at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara to sensitize the students about the degrading environmental conditions and to
encourage them to take positive environmental actions, Bhavan's Vidya Mandir Elamakkara celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2023.
The chief guest Mr. Joshy Varghese, former mobilization expert of state Suchitwa mission and the coordinator of HEAL Kochi project , addressed the
students in the morning assembly. Pledge on Environment Day was taken in the assembly. Seed Club students distributed saplings to the chief guest,
Principal, Associate Principal ,Vice Principal and Assistant Vice Principal. They planted saplings in the school premises on the same day. Milan Jaseel
of class VI delivered a speech in the assembly. He emphasised the theme of 2023, # Beat Plastic Pollution. Dr. P C Madhu, member of professional
bodies in National and International research, member in European Biotechnology Congress and District Coordinator National Green Crops
Ernakulam addressed the students of class VII in the auditorium. A special session was conducted for the seed club members by Thalir. Shri.Adarsh
Kavungal ,member of Young Indians conducted an interactive session with the members of the club. It was followed by the tree plantation drive by the
chief guest ,teachers and the students of the seed club. It was indeed a great day that reminded everyone to get involved in environment friendly activities.
