Onam 2026
Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, celebrated the spirit of Onam on 21 August 2026 with great enthusiasm, joy, and festive fervour. The celebration commenced with a prayer by the school choir, setting a serene and auspicious tone for the day.
The festivities came alive with the grand arrival of Onapottan, followed by Mahabali and Vamanan, bringing the traditional essence of Onam to the school campus. The celebrations continued with a delightful array of cultural performances, including Onappattu and Thiruvathirakali presented by teachers and students. Vanchippattu, Thumbithullal, and Pulikali further added colour and vibrancy to the occasion. A lively and energetic dance performance by the Class XII students was another highlight of the celebration.
The fun and excitement continued with a variety of entertaining competitions conducted by BEOSA, which added to the festive spirit and brought the school community together in joyful participation.
The colourful celebrations culminated in an energetic and captivating performance by the students’ music band, leaving the audience enthralled. Adding a sweet touch to the festivities, payasam was served in all the classes, making the celebration even more memorable.
