INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE & TRAFFICKING
Bhavan's Vidya Mandir Elamakkara observed the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Wednesday, 26 June 2024 to educate students against the dangers of drug abuse. The guest of the day Shri Prince D, Intelligence Officer, Narcotics Control Bureau, Kendriya Bhavan ,Kakkanad addressed the students in the morning assembly.He highlighted the global challenges posed by drug abuse and the importance of preventive education.He remarked that young people have a crucial role in creating a drug- free future for our country. He administered the oath against drug abuse and the students repeated it after him.
The programme also featured a creative element with the students presenting a mime to bring home the importance of making healthy choices. It reflected the theme of the day for this year "The evidence is clear: Invest in prevention.
