Shri.MRS Menon,Renowned Cultural Patron  & Managing Trustee, Samskrithi  Centre for Cultural  Studies inaugurated the week-long celebrations by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the students in the morning assembly, he stressed the relevance of Ramayana in the present times and the significance of imbibing the values that the epic embodies .This was followed by the ‘Ramayana parayanam’ and its ‘Vyakhyanam’ by students. The soulful rendering of the Bhajan by the singers of the  Sevanam & Shanthi house added sanctity to the occasion. Kumari Akrithi Nair ,the First Prize winner of the Ramayana story telling competition presented her story .
