30th Edition of Pratheeksha MUN 2024
The 30th edition of the Pratheeksha unfolded with great success on Saturday, 31 August 2024 at Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara. This year, Pratheeksha featured Model United Nations conference themed “Avatar: A Ray of Hope”. A captivating dance performance by the students of standard XI set the stage for the event.
Justice Harisankar V Menon, High Court of Kerala, graced the occasion as the chief guest Smt. Mini K, Principal, Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara gave the introductory remarks. C. A. Venugopal C. Govind, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, presided over the function. Shri E Ramankutty, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra addressed the gathering. Smt. Rajitha R. Nair, President, PTA offered felicitation on the occasion. Master Harishankar Madhu, the Secretary General of Pratheeksha MUN 2024, addressed the gathering and officially declared Pratheeksha MUN 2024 open.
Pratheeksha MUN 2024 truly lived up to its theme, offering a vibrant platform for 176 delegates from 16 schools across Kochi to explore international diplomacy and envision solutions for a better world.The valedictory ceremony culminated with a mesmerising musical performance by the students of standard XI. The prestigious ever rolling Overall Championship Trophy was bagged by Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara. Master Harishankar Madhu, Secretary General, officially closed Pratheeksha MUN 2024.
