Reading Month Celebrations

Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, observes Reading Month in honour of the late Shri P. N. Panicker, the father of the library movement in Kerala. As part of the month-long celebrations, Reading Day was celebrated on 19th June.
The day began with a special assembly where Kumari Anadhya Prasanth delivered a speech on the significance of reading and Kumari Janaki R Menon led the Reading Day pledge.
As part of the observance, an interactive session was organized for students of Class VII in the auditorium, with renowned author and poet Shri Madhu Kuttemperoor as the chief guest. He captivated the students with his engaging narration, literary insights and thought-provoking
interaction. Sharing his journey as a writer, he spoke passionately about the joy of reading and the importance of nurturing imagination and empathy through books. Students eagerly participated in the interaction, asking insightful questions and sharing their reading experiences. The session successfully ignited a renewed interest in reading among the young audience and added great value to the school’s Reading Month initiatives.
