Kindness, a virtue of paramount importance, is not easy to come across. Not everybody goes out of their way to help someone else, but there is no denying that there is an absolute necessity to be nice and be helpful to the needy. Bringing this idea to the fore, this year with the tremendous support from the parents, students and staff of our school, we received significant contributions to implement various outreach programmes through the charity drive Dhaan Deepthi.
In Edition 1, a social responsibility initiative, ‘A Blanket to Battle the Cold’, was organized by the school SEED club members to provide blankets to the needy & helpless members of the ‘Paniya tribe’ at Wayanad. Edition 2 of Dhaan Deepthi, jointly organized by the Interact club and SEED club, marked successful projects like ‘Clothes Collection Drive’, ‘The Sewing Machine Project’ and ‘Back to School Stationery Drive’. As part of the drive, the school also raised an amount to help the families of the Paniya tribe. A small sale of ornamental plants, guppy fish and vegetable seedlings was also organized.
On this occasion it is worth mentioning the relentless efforts of our Seed Club teacher coordinators, Smt Susheela Gopinath, Smt. Tessy George , Smt Beena George and the seed club students Sanjana Prajeesh, Chetan A Nair, Aswin R, Sharan Suresh, Rahika R Nair, Poornima R Nair, Ishaan A Tharik, Aakash Biju, Ila Laxmi Sharma, Achu Krishnagopal, Shreya Manoj, Rithuraj V, Sidharth Utham KS , Ayush Biju and …..who dedicated their soul and heart for the fulfillment of this initiative.
